PPM Principal Zane Hood will participate in an educational workshop to be held across four Alabama cities.
Make plans to attend this free event that will discuss the Alabama TOOLS program, UST owner testing requirements, diesel corrosion, and fuel leak protocol.
Hood will explain the protocol necessary for tank owners when their sites experience accidental motor fuel releases. Hood encourages tank owners to be active in the reporting and remediation processes from beginning to end. The process can be technical and confusing, and often tank owners find it easier to simply allow a state-approved trust fund contractor to manage the process entirely.
Hood emphasizes, however, that there are a few basic elements a tank owner should understand to ensure his or her best interests are protected. This presentation will explain what to look for when a release occurs, as well as questions to ask a trust fund contractor.
